Commander: Admiral Cloud and Admiral Theseus. Next in Command: Captian Cid.
Stuff: Starbase 55
is officially commanded by Admiral Cloud. But Admiral Theseus, who offically
is second in command, is the dominant underground power. It is almost suspected
that Admiral Theseus is an illegal all knowing alien only posing as a human
(Episode 15)....... buuuutttt, nahhh.
Admiral
Theseus is the one who had the offical power to say go for the launching
of the experimental starship Phoenix-X. He hopes to have the Phoenix-X
as a mending ship for future possible intergalactical political threats.....
(if something's up, the Phoenix-X will take care of business). He also
uses this "undercover" ship as a chance to promote experiments for new
and/or illegal technology. With this motive, he gave the go for a trusted
Changeling(an enemy race) Captian. He works hard to keep these secrets
from the media attracting half of the Federation.
To Theseus,
Admiral Cloud is merely a figurehead with superficial power. Admiral Cloud
gets most media attention. When in war, he stratagizes and Commands most
large space attacks. He also takes care of some of Theseus' illegal dealings,
but after he usually gets his memory erased for those events.
Captian
Cid is Admiral Cloud's, and Admiral Theseus', second in command. He takes
care of the U.S.S. Manila, the offical Starbase 55 flag ship. He also does
whatever Theseus and Cloud tells him to do. He's thier henchman.
As for
plot, Captian Cid left the Manila to do stuff on the Starbase. Commander
Avery took care of the Manila in the time being. But later, Avery turned
out to be a badguy and he was captured by the Gordan race, the Gordarions.
So Cid has the ship again. Who'da thunk it?
