Commander: The Xena is commanded by Captian Maxine Aeris. Human.

Ship History: With the return of the Romulans and the encounter with the Borg.bring in a Starship that would take care of casulties. The Xena is a lot like the Enterprise-D with the exception of a third warp nacel to help maintain Warp 9 for a longer period of time for rescue missions.

Now with the Dominion threat, and Romulan unassurance the Xena is a crucial ship to be ready for anything possible to happen. The Xena is currently assigned to Earth Protection.

After the invasion of Cardassia, and the loss of the Gamma Quadrant wormhole...  the Xena is relieved of duty from earth protection. The Xena is assigned to Cardassia to handle casulities.

The Xena now is on deep space missions.

Ship Specifications: USS Galaxy Class II.  As close to the Defiant she has more then enough power to  handle the threats of the Federation however because of her size she takes a very long time to build almost the same time it would take to build a Standard Galaxy Class.  She does not carry families as she is designed to fight. She also is a Medical Emergency Vessel designed to help other ships in danger, therefore has extra rooms. The Xena carries extra EMH programs as well as Doctors and Nurses. She is a very large Exploration Cruiser,  able to take deep space assignments and rescue missions without any trouble.  Some of her weapons systems are classified by Starfleet Intelligence.
